Pneumatic silencers

Optimal ratio of strength and capacity to reduce noise

The use of porous aluminum in the production of silencers is driven by the following characteristics:

- To reduce noise levels, it is necessary to reduce the air velocity through a large distribution area, while at the same time, the silencer must have sufficient strength to withstand water hammer and sufficient surface area for pressure relief. Porous aluminum has already proven itself as the material with the optimum strength-to-capacity ratio for noise reduction, as well as protecting the pneumatic system from dust and dirt. Our silencers also have higher strength characteristics than silencers made of wire or sintered bronze, because they are made as a single unit and have no parts.

- Quite often the customer needs to produce mufflers of non-standard size or with non-standard fastening, which can be done by our technology. Also, by adjusting the wall thickness and pore size, we can set the flow capacity and noise reduction level of the silencer.
